tees

Online Only

We have some exciting news!  Sevier Skirts is hosting their semi-annual tee shirt sale!  Until midnight on Thursday you can purchase our Michael Stars and 3Dot Tees for an extra 40% off in our online store.

Michael Stars carries the absolute perfect basic tee.  It comes in a ton of colors and will look good with just about anything.  We also carry their line of tanks and sleeved shirts, which are equally as flattering and amazing.

3Dot is wonderful because they can be dressed up or down and their sizing chart ranges from small-large.  These shirts are so soft and comfortable you'll never want to take them off.

If you've never tried either of these tee brands or if you're a long time wearer, now is a great time to stock up.  We love pairing our skirts with these tees because they come in a variety of colors and fit better than ant other cotton top on the market.

If you missed our previous post on how to coordinate your Michael stars and 3Dot tees with the perfect necklace you can check it out here!

SOW: Stacy’s Stripe!

This week ditch your jeans and step it up with a fun alternative : Stacy’s Stripe
Named after our cool, calm and collected co-worker Stacy, the Stacy’s Stripe will be a great go-to in your closet!

This classic black, aqua and yellow stripe with bronze lurex thread woven throughout is a classic pattern with a fresh color scheme.  Cut on the bias (diagonal), this skirt is extremely form flattering!

I dressed this skirt for the weekend or any casual outing.  Instead of your blue jeans, go for this bright number to add a little shine to your look.  This skirt looks great with white, yellow, aqua, black or coral like I have above.  Complete with a denim jacket and black boots, this outfit leaves you effortlessly adorable.

SOW: Game Day Edition!

When it comes to school spirit, there is only one team I know that is represented by a print.  Houndstooth, Bear Bryant and Alabama football go hand in hand, making the Knit Houndstooth Black and White our Skirt of the Week, and your go-to game day skirt!  If you yell "Roll Tide", this is the skirt for you!

This Knit Houndstooth is as comfortable as it is attractive.  This soft medium weight knit drapes beautifully making this a great swing style skirt.  This fabric is good for all body types, hugging in the right places with the bias cut and draping where necessary.
SOW: Houndstooth Knit
For the Crimson Tide fans, I went with a crimson color palette.  Houndstooth skirt with the Drape Neck Michael Stars top, crimson coat and black boots.  Easy outfit, classic look.

For those that don't cheer for 'Bama, this skirt works with every color imaginable.  I love black and brown together as you can see below.  I went with the always flattering hue, coral, to add a pop of color to this outfit.

Mix it up!
Here is one of our own, Courtney Skeen, outfitting the Houndstooth with navy...

How will you dress this print?!

1 Skirt, 3 Ways!

What I look for in any piece I buy is versatility.  If the piece is one occasion specific, I pass.  With this thought, I took to the Sevier Closet to outfit 1 Skirt, 3 Ways!  I took a staff season favorite: Avalon Brocade Azure, and went to work...
1 Skirt, 3 Ways
I love the way the girls have this looker styled.  Sophistication at its best with this gray tucked in blouse and nude pumps.  Throw on a gray blazer and head to your nine-to-five.

For a look to take out on the town, I went with this season's trend: leather.  For a different spin on this trend, I went with colored leather.  Orange is blues complimentary color, they are made for each other.  With this in mind, pair the Avalon with orange in any hue.  For fall, I went with burnt orange.  Booties and a statement necklace is the perfect grab for a night out!

Back to my comfort zone with the Casual Saturday look.  Michael Stars comfy Drape Neck-check.  Go-to Saturday jean jacket-check.  Everyday riding boots-check.  Eazy breezy, go-to outfit.  Love.

The Working Girl: Boo Style!

This entry goes out to all of my working ladies that want to dress up for Halloween but still have to keep it professional.  Every time Halloween hits, I have the hardest time thinking of something original to do.  I'm not one to spend a lot of money on a costume and I usually throw something together.

For the workplace, its even harder showing that festive spirit while keeping in line with the dress code.  Don't worry, you've come to the right place!
Happy Halloween!
Pair your favorite orange skirt, like the Ellie Orange, with your favorite black top.  I picked the Michael Stars Slub Drape Neck for warmth.  Go to Walmart, Walgreens or any party store and buy fake bugs.  Glue these to your hose and voila-you've got a fun Halloween look!  Add a pair of fun earrings for extra flair!

Below are a few of my favorites for Halloween...

For your nails...

for your refreshments...

 your home...

for handing out candy, or a fun party favor...

for your pumpkins...

I did both of these with my pumpkins.  Instead of 'welcome', I painted 'boo!' on my pumpkin.

and a makeshift outfit for the kids.
A bag of jelly beans is a fun, crafty costume that you can make on your own with balloons and a clear trash bag!

Happy Halloween!

SOW: Cathedral!

There's something about a woman in ivory that exudes class.  I don't know if it comes from the clean look, or appropriate after Labor Day hue.  I do know it is chic, timeless and sophisticated.  This week, the Cathedral is 20% off as our Skirt of the Week!

The Cathedral is a medium weight cotton/polyester/rayon base with elevated ivory stitching detail giving this gorgeous skirt texture.  She is perfect for nicer occasions.  There is a slight stretch in the Cathedral, making it great for a Pencil or Classic style.  Want a fuller look?  The Cathedral is available in a Swing as well!
The Cathedral
To take the Cathedral to work, throw on a blazer (any color will do) like we have here.

Above, I have the Cathedral in a look to go to a nice occasion.  To go with the ivory trend, I picked out the Long Sleeve Off the Shoulder Shine Sweater by Michael Stars.  I love the statement cheetah heels to bring a print to the look.  To finish this look off, I went with a short camel color leather jacket.

Chic sophistication with a touch of leather.  I'm in love.  Don't miss this deal, ends Sunday!

Sale @ Sevier
My favorite color to go with navy?  Coral of course!  Coral is one of those hues that you can throw on and instantly have a healthy looking complexion.   The Shine Scoop Neck with Rouched Sides is a great summer and spring option!

For the cooler months go for a 3/4 sleeve.  The Double Front V-Neck and Slub 3/4 Boat Neck are on sale till Sunday!

Don't miss out on these deals; both sales end Sunday!
