Winter Sale Starts TODAY!!

Our Winter Sale is finally here!  To kickoff our week long sale, we are discounting 9 new skirts for Cyber Monday only!  After today, the skirts you see below will no longer be included with the rest of the sale so act fast!

Below is one of my favorite Cyber Monday skirts, the Flashback Blue Steel.  Here is how I would wear it to a holiday party!
Cyber Monday!!!

Fun tights plus and a fun skirt only need a solid top to pair with it.  I love fuchsia with blue!  It's a nice change rather than wearing red around the holidays.  For a party, go with a clutch and this chic tuxedo blazer.

From Tuesday to Sunday,  we will have tons of fabulous skirts discounted up to 40% off.  Happy shopping!

SOW: Game Day Edition!

When it comes to school spirit, there is only one team I know that is represented by a print.  Houndstooth, Bear Bryant and Alabama football go hand in hand, making the Knit Houndstooth Black and White our Skirt of the Week, and your go-to game day skirt!  If you yell "Roll Tide", this is the skirt for you!

This Knit Houndstooth is as comfortable as it is attractive.  This soft medium weight knit drapes beautifully making this a great swing style skirt.  This fabric is good for all body types, hugging in the right places with the bias cut and draping where necessary.

For the Crimson Tide fans, I went with a crimson color palette.  Houndstooth skirt with the Drape Neck Michael Stars top, crimson coat and black boots.  Easy outfit, classic look.

For those that don't cheer for 'Bama, this skirt works with every color imaginable.  I love black and brown together as you can see below.  I went with the always flattering hue, coral, to add a pop of color to this outfit.

Mix it up!
Here is one of our own, Courtney Skeen, outfitting the Houndstooth with navy...

How will you dress this print?!

SOW: Babzy's Ivory!

It's the most wonderful time of the year...in about a month that is.  Be ready for the upcoming holiday party season with Sevier Skirts!  I handpicked this week's SOW to wear to such an event.  The Babzy's Ivory is our highlighted skirt this week at 20% off!

The Babzy is one of our luxe velvets that we adore at Sevier.  Perfect for the holidays, this medium weight, painted paisley velvet has some sheen as you walk and schmooze.    This skirt is available in all three styles.  My pick: Swing!  This fabric drapes beautifully, perfect for a fuller skirt.
SOW: Holiday Checklist
It can be tricky dressing for a holiday party.  Should you wear red, or is that too Santa?  Should you wear sparkle or is that too New Year's?  As far as I'm concerned, you can sparkle it up every day ;)

I started with the skirt in this look and went from there.  With this beautifully painted ivory, I wanted to keep the top simple with a flattering silhouette so a peplum was the perfect choice.  Next, I went for the maroon coat.  The color is rich and sophisticated, and the tailored fit is spot on for a party.

The accessories are where you can have a lot of fun with it.  Sequins shoes-check.  Small purse is a must, and to adorn a simple silhouette top add a statement necklace to turn up the wow-factor.

Sevier 4th!

With the 4th coming our way tomorrow, I had to get together a few cute outfits highlighting our red, white & blue!

My number one tip for the 4th is wear a swing!  You can ride a bike in it, walk comfortably long distances, and most importantly you can sit on a grassy knoll in a swing to watch the fireworks.

With that tip in mind, I picked three skirts that work beautifully in swings...

4th of July Sevier Skirts
Red, white, blue, denim jackets, American manufacturing, and bike rides.  What's more American than that?!  With that theme in mind, enjoy your 4th in your favorite Sevier Skirt, and get outside! Try out the new bicycle rental program B-Cycle on your day off  or go canoeing with the family.

Whatever you do, have a great 4th and I'll see you back here on Friday for a sweet Sevier Wedding...you won't want to miss it!

Ellie Orange: Day-2-Night

I consider myself a conservative shopper.  If the item looks like it will fall apart in the wash, I pass on it.  Too trendy?  Pass!  Good for limited occasions?  Pass!  I think you can guess that I like versatile pieces.  Day to night-no problem!  Casual to elegant- right up my alley!  To apply this way of thinking to Sevier Skirts, it was hard to pick a skirt. We have SO many versatile pieces.

To start, I went with the Ellie Orange.  Need something casual?  This skirt is a linen base.  Need fancy?  This skirt is adorned in velvet.  It has the best of both worlds, with a bold eye catching color.  I have worn this skirt to brunch.  I have worn this skirt to a wedding.  Two different looks, one great impression.  Did I mention this skirt is year round?

For a casual look, I couldn't resist a chambray top.  Another option is a fitted t-shirt.  For summer, run around town with bright sandals to complete the look!

On the fancier side, wear the Ellie Orange to weddings, graduations, dates, and cocktail parties.  Any blouse will do.  I love the following colors with the Ellie Orange: navy, royal blue, teal, green, yellow, white, off white, brown, and purple.  Keep in mind that blue is oranges complimentary color and looks good every time.

Style Tip:  The easiest way to spruce up an outfit is accessories.  As soon as you add something with glitz (gold, silver, sequins etc.) your look automatically looks elegant.  Try a gold/ silver clutch or shoes with shine.
