One Skirt,Three Ways!!

A new batch of skirts gives me all new outfits to create, making me one happy blogger.  On this Fab Friday, I’d like to introduce you to one of our newest: Liberty Clarissa Denim!

This is the perfect, go-to Spring skirt.  From our Liberty of London collection, this floral motif ranges from bright yellow to light pink against a blue back drop.  These are wonderfully subtle colors, giving you plenty of option tops to pair with this number.  Below, I have the Clarissa styled three ways...
One Skirt//Three Ways
Look # 1: The Weekender
Cute, comfy and practical were my targets for this look.  Pair the Clarissa with a loose-fit tunic and oversized cardigan for a chic boho look.  Keeping with comfort, I  went with Toms for your feet!

Look #2: The Ladies Night
Round up your favorite girls and a feisty outfit!  I took this look a little darker with the crimson top and navy booties.  Layer the bangles up on for a little movement in your outfit.

Look #3: The Office
This is a great skirt for the office.  You can wear any color solid and be good to go with a blazer or cardigan.

How to Wear Plaid this Winter!

Give me a plaid and I’m a happy girl.  Give me a plaid with flannel and I’m in love.  Lucky for me, flannel plaid is in and it’s not just for lumberjacks and jeans these days.  How do you wear plaid?  Here’s how I do it...
How do you wear plaid?
Plaid is a pattern, no question there.  It’s a neutral pattern and perfect for mixed prints for those that are mixed print shy.  Here I have a plaid with the Rose Wool Black and Blue.  I love the blue in this skirt, it pops!  Pair with black tights down to a pair of black wedge booties.  The effect is casual-chic, especially with a clutch.

I love this outfit for the weekend!  Speaking of, have a great one and I’ll see you back here on Monday!

Tee-Shirts & Sevier Skirts!!

Are you a tee shirt and jeans kind of girl?  Not anymore ladies.  Take off the pants, and find your favorite skirt.  Now grab your softest, most broken in tee from 'who knows how long ago' and you've got yourself your new favorite go-to look!

I love a contrasting look, be it a flirty skirt with a casual top or something fancy paired with something from the past.  Today I'm going to dive into this look that shows great taste and a lot of personality.

Want to look great, effortlessly in a casual situation?  This look is for you!

Below are four of my favorite skirts to wear a soft, broken in tee with...

Wear it out!
From Left:
Blockbuster Black, Blockbuster Gold, Speckle Wool Teal, Lily Pad Olive
Be it a tee from your favorite band, your alma-mater or from Target, any tee that fits you well will work for this look.

Don't save certain skirts for one occasion only.  I love the Blockbusters in this casual look.   With the Blockbuster-Black, you can wear any shirt you would with your favorite black pants.  With the Blockbuster-Gold, think of it as your khakis and match accordingly.

Style Tip:  Do something fun with your hair.  Usually with your worn in tee, I bet you wear your hair back and out of the way.  Blow out your hair to add some flair and contrast to this casual look.  Finish off with your favorite pair of low maintenance kicks and you're good to go!

Ellie Orange: Day-2-Night

I consider myself a conservative shopper.  If the item looks like it will fall apart in the wash, I pass on it.  Too trendy?  Pass!  Good for limited occasions?  Pass!  I think you can guess that I like versatile pieces.  Day to night-no problem!  Casual to elegant- right up my alley!  To apply this way of thinking to Sevier Skirts, it was hard to pick a skirt. We have SO many versatile pieces.

To start, I went with the Ellie Orange.  Need something casual?  This skirt is a linen base.  Need fancy?  This skirt is adorned in velvet.  It has the best of both worlds, with a bold eye catching color.  I have worn this skirt to brunch.  I have worn this skirt to a wedding.  Two different looks, one great impression.  Did I mention this skirt is year round?

For a casual look, I couldn't resist a chambray top.  Another option is a fitted t-shirt.  For summer, run around town with bright sandals to complete the look!

On the fancier side, wear the Ellie Orange to weddings, graduations, dates, and cocktail parties.  Any blouse will do.  I love the following colors with the Ellie Orange: navy, royal blue, teal, green, yellow, white, off white, brown, and purple.  Keep in mind that blue is oranges complimentary color and looks good every time.

Style Tip:  The easiest way to spruce up an outfit is accessories.  As soon as you add something with glitz (gold, silver, sequins etc.) your look automatically looks elegant.  Try a gold/ silver clutch or shoes with shine.
