SOW: The Matrix!

After the holiday parties and overeating, the last thing I want to do is put on a glitz and glam outfit that requires a lot of thought and discomfort.  An oversized sweater and a skirt with some stretch however, is right up my alley.  This week, come down from the holidays with a causal look.  The Matrix is our SOW; take advantage of this great deal.

This light-medium weight cotton blend fabric is a great staple to have in your repertoire all year round.  With the perfect amount of stretch, this skirt is good for all body types.  The light beige embroidery adds some excitement to this casual yet sophisticated skirt.
Casual 2014
Being a little black skirt, you can wear all colors with this number.   I went the muted route with an oversized slouchy beige sweater.  Finish the look with black flats, be it boots or ballet flats.  Effortless outfit, perfect for any casual occasion!

SOW: Weisbrod Green!

Do you work in a business casual environment?   Are you tired of the all black ensembles drowning out the work place?  This skirt is for YOU!  The Weisbrod Green is not only on sale as our SOW, it is also the perfect pick to mix up your work week!

From our favorite Swiss mill, the Weisbrod Green is a medium weight cotton/silk/polyester perfect for a year round look.  This is one of our structured skirts perfect in a Classic or Pencil.
SOW
I love an easy black look for the office, don't get me wrong.   When you want to put some pep in your step, opt for the Weisbrod instead.  For a bright number, go with a sweater like the one above in the bright blue.  I love the combo with the necklace.

To dial it back a notch, I went with the navy blouse above and navy trench to tie the look together.  Other colors that go with the Weisbrod are black, white, brown, yellow and coral.

Gameday: Tennessee Vols!

Along with the cold weather, Fall also brings football.  Down in the south, the SEC isn't just a past time, its a way of life come football season.  To non- football lovers like myself, it means finger foods and cute outfits!  Go team (wink, wink)!

To start off the first outfit to take to the tailgate, I'm going with Sevier Skirt's home team, the Tennessee Vols!  It's easy to dress for game day with a team like the Vols.  Once you finally find the correct hue of orange, which is nearly impossible-you just go with it.  Not much option involved.  Below, Sevier Skirts has the perfect orange in the Cascade Orange!
Gameday: Tennessee Vols!
The Cascade is a beautiful medium weight cotton brocade.  This is a structured skirt, looking amazing in a classic or pencil.  Above I have my favorite fall outfit, denim jacket and comfortable long sleeve ensemble with riding boots!  Throw on a fun scarf for mixed prints or a cream one like I have to class it up.

Another great option is the Ellie-Orange...
You can't go wrong with cowboy boots on game day, especially in the South ;)  Show off those legs and small waist with a belted chambray top.  Cool, calm, and comfortable.  Thats what I'm going for on a long day of walking, eating, and hanging out.

Have a great weekend!  Go Vols!

SOW: Liberty Lovely Lady Corduroy!

Thanksgiving is around the corner, time to think about that Turkey Day outfit.  You want to look nice, you're family is getting together so make an effort.  With all the eating going on, a comfortable outfit is a must!  This week's SOW: Liberty Lovely Lady Corduroy is a great Thanksgiving option giving you comfort and style!

From one of out favorite print shops, this Liberty of London skirt is a micro wale corduroy with a floral motif in cool blues and greens.  Take a close look and you will see a hint of a woman, giving it the name: Lovely Lady.  Unlike many bulky cords, this skirt is a lighter to medium weight, perfect from early fall into late spring.  For Thanksgiving, go for a swing!
Sevier Thanksgiving
To pick an outfit for Thanksgiving I had a few points I wanted to hit.  Fall color (orange blouse & army green jacket), flouncy shirt, high boots, and comfortable light weight jacket.  You're going to be eating, a lot, so pick a shirt that doesn't cling to you.  This orange blouse is sophisticated and casual with the roll up sleeves.  Army jackets are in so throw one on this holiday season.  Lightweight and flattering with the drawstring waist.

For other semi-casual looks, opt for your favorite tee with a dark denim jacket and high boots (one of my favorite fall looks).

Don't miss out on this deal, 20% off this week only!

SOW: Knit Houndstooth Black & White!

Sure, most of us are not returning to school this September, but I still love a preppy school look when it comes time for Fall!  This weeks sale skirt evokes the school girl in me!  The Knit Houndstooth Black and White is 20% off this week only!

This cotton/lycra light weight knit is a great year round skirt thats a nice alternative to your bulky winter wear.  This skirt has just the right amount of stretch making it the perfect flouncy swing!
Sevier Skirts: Mixed Prints!
The look I put together is simple yet packs a punch.  With layering and mixed prints you can wear this look to the office, around town, or out at night.  Mixed prints can be intimidating, and some looks are over the top...

A great way to experiment with mixed prints is layering a sweater over the printed top.  This way you have a touch of coordinating patterns, not an overwhelming look.  Try the Knit Houndstooth with a plaid top like the one above.  Any color will work.  Thats the great things about a white & black skirt!

Now lets talk shoes.  For work, go with a simple pair of black pumps.  For a night out on the town, I love the in style look of little black booties.  For every other occasion, go for a pair of tall flat black leather boots.

Have a great week!

SOW: Poly Petal Silver!!

Woo Hoo!!  Fourteen hours to count down ladies, so lets count down with a new outfit!  Hope your break was fabulous, mine was wonderful, but not white (no snow).

I want to start the year off with shine so we chose an oldie but a goodie for the kick off of 2013: Skirt of the Week!!  The Poly Petals are a Sevier Skirt staple!!  This week only, the Poly Petal Silver is 20% off!
SOW
For New Years, you can alway go black but I decided to be pretty in pink with this pop of color.  You don't have to go pink, every color under the sun (excluding brown) will go with the Poly Petal Silver.  This is a light weight polyester with diagonal rows of petal appliqués.  This skirt is good year round.  Best part?  This skirt is machine washable.  Yes ladies, throw it in there and kiss the dry cleaners good bye!

Style Tip #1 for New Years:  Wear iridescent black hose when stepping out tonight.  To top off this look, go with black pumps.  Sparkle is ideal if you have them.  You always want to wear like color shoes to your hose.  It won't break up the leg leaving you looking leaner and leggy.

Style Tip #2:  Sparkle is your friend this holiday.  Not many days of the year can you get away with it, so do it up this holiday season with a clutch and heels!

HAVE FUN, BE SAFE,AND BUNDLE UP...

BABY,  IT'S COLD OUTSIDE!!
