Celebrating New Beginnings With Pastels

Easter is quickly approaching and along with that comes celebration with friends and family.  This Spring holiday is all about new beginnings in our own lives as well as the world around us and the color choices of this season reflect that.  Pastel colors seem to be a staple, so show off your favorite hues by pairing them with a Sevier Skirt! We've chosen the Cathedral to pair with a beautiful range of orange and aqua pastels.  Check out some other posts that feature the Cathedral Skirt here and here!

Sevier Skirts and Turkish- T

Earlier this week we posted about the versatility of our product and transforming typically fall fabrics into looks that are perfectly in line with this season's Spring trends.  It is so much fun trying different looks with our favorite Sevier Skirts!
That is why we are so excited to pair up with another Nashville company, Turkish-T, to showcase how versatile both are products are and how amazing they look together!
If you haven't checked out Turkish-T yet, you can do it here.  They are all about creating a product that has many end uses, much like Sevier Skirts.  Their Ts come in a variety of colors and sizes.  For our purposes we used them as scarves, but they can just as easily be used as towels, blankets, table cloths, you name it.

Here are some of our favorite looks...

See how easy it is to pair colors textures and even patterns to create a whole new look!
We had such a great time working with Turkish-T.  If you want to learn more about their company check out their website at http://www.turkish-t.com/

All About Options

Owning a Sevier Skirt means having options when it comes to your wardrobe.  We love to mix and match pattern, texture, and color to create a look that is all our own!  Many of our fabrics offer a wide range of versatility and can be worn from day to night or from season to season.  (Check out how we do it here!)  One of our favorite tricks is using our Fall fabric line to create looks that are perfectly in tune with Spring trends. By adding a pop of Spring color or bright accessories a typical fall skirt can be transformed for a new season!

Here are three of our favorite season to season looks:

One great thing about many fall fabrics is their neutral color pallet.  This makes them easy to dress for a new season. The warm puddy color of the Marissa Gray is paired with bright sandals and a sleeveless eyelet to transition into warmer weather.

We paired our Cathedral Skirt with bright pops of color to create a fun weekend look.  Add your favorite pair of sunglasses and you are ready for the sun and shade!

This skirt looks amazing with all different shades of blue.  We always love pairing it with a chambray button down, but try it with a bright aqua or turquoise for a great warm weather look!

The importance of creating a product that can be worn multiple times to many different occasions is one of our highest priorities.  If you have any questions about styling a skirt or what to share with us how creative you can be with your own Sevier Skirt we would love to hear from you!

The Art of Print Mixing. A Styling Session with e. Allen Boutique.

Last week we posted about our amazing styling session with Stacey Rhodes Boutique in Brentwood, Tn. (If you missed it check it out here!)  Today we are featuring e. Allen, a boutique dedicated to providing their customer with stylish separates that help them make the most out of their wardrobe. (They do styling too!)  e. Allen has a gorgeous location in the Gulch area as well as the flagship location in Murfreesboro.

When stepping inside e. Allen for the first time on an exceptionally windy day in Nashville I could tell that presentation as well as merchandise must be important to the owner.  The shop was decorated beautifully.  Large windows covered one wall of the shop making a bright and airy space, perfect for showcasing Sevier Skirts along with e. Allen merchandise.

Rachel, the sales manager and I had so much fun pairing tops and accessories with some of our favorite Sevier Skirts.  We realized that we both loved mixing prints and creating unexpected looks with separates.  All though we styled some of the same skirt patterns as our last session with Stacey Rhodes Boutique the outcomes were completely different.  The versatility of our Sevier Skirts is one of many reasons our customers love our product.  It is so easy to use one skirt for two completely different looks.

Checkout our outfits below!

For our first look we chose a lime green embroidered large daisy print sleeveless top with our Hot Tamale Skirt in blue.  This is what we call pattern mixing!  Even though we used different shapes and colors it works because the hues are both in the same bright color family.  Both patterns have similar spacing and color to white balance which also allows these pieces to work together so beautifully!  We added a statement necklace with the same bright blue as our skirt to tie everything together.

We kept the colors pretty similar to one another for our second look.  The loose peach blouse complements the soft greens and vibrant stripes of our Karma Stripe Skirt.  Again, we decided to add a little pattern mixing with a floral scarf in similar colors to add some depth to this outfit.  Both the scarf and the skirt feature a smaller pattern which allows them to work beautifully together!
Outfit Details:  Peach Brynn top, Floral print infinity scarf, Karma Stripe Jacquard Skirt

This outfit became one of my personal favorites.  We paired our Blush Sequins Skirt with e. Allen's chambray bomber jacket, light bright white tank, and floral statement necklace.  The outcome is a casual outfit that seamlessly goes from a day out and about to dinner and drinks.  I would wear this outfit everyday if I could!  I love the casual look of chambray with a bit of elegant sparkle.  Plus, how spring ready is this look?  Perfection.
Outfit Details:  French Connection Penny Plains v-neck tank,  bella dahl river bomber jacket, Elizabeth Cole pendant necklace with pink kites, blush sequin skirt.

Thank you so much to e.  Allen for letting us team up with your shop to create these beautiful looks! Check them out online here or visit them at either of their two locations:

Stacey Rhodes Does Spring With Style

Sevier Skirts along with other outstanding Nashville businesses were featured in this months Style Blueprint's finds section.  We were so excited we wanted to reach out to some of these organizations. We were lucky enough to be able to work with Nashville's Stacey Rhodes boutique on a Spring styling collaboration.  It was so much fun! Stacey Rhodes is known for her thoughtfully curated shop that features exclusive lines with the latest styles.  When I walked in the door I could tell that Stacy was as ready for Spring as the rest of Nashville! She has put together a beautiful Spring collection full of color and pattern.

We also love color and pattern here at Sevier Skirts so we knew this was going to be a great collaboration.  We love to give our customers the absolute best novelty fabrics on the market.  As you know, Sevier Skirts offers hundreds of fabric options to create custom made skirts. We used some of our favorite skirt patterns and cuts to really accentuate Stacy's pieces.

We chose three looks:
Our first look featured a bright tropical racer back tank and our Karma striped skirt with coordinating colors.  We love the pattern mixing of the skirt and top.  Our one rule when mixing patterns: Keep it in the same color family and it will blend seamlessly!  We paired this outfit with a green shoulder bag and strappy sandals with a heel.

For our second look we decided to mix textures instead of patterns.  Our Lucia Leather skirt goes perfectly with Stacey's Westone Wear Riva peplum top.  We love the Leather and Lace combination!  We paired this look with caged wedge sandals, a tan leather clutch, and layered copper and black bracelets.

Our third look is a combination of pattern and texture in a neutral color pallet.  This pure white peplum tank is so sweet against the classic herringbone pattern of our Helena Skirt.  We paired this outfit with a long pendant necklace.

If you live in or around the Nashville area you can find Stacey Rhodes Boutique at 144 Franklin Rd. Suit A, Brentwood, Tn, 37027

Coming this Friday, a new collaboration with E. Allen
