Your Skirt, Your Way!

I can't emphasize enough here at Sevier: Your Skirt, Your Way!  No matter your style or age, you can take any skirt and make it your own!  This point is easier shown than said, so lets take a look at what I came up with!

I took one of my favorite Spring time skirts, the Blossom Eyelet-Lemon, and dressed it for multiple ages.

Are you in your twenties?  Do you wear too many accessories?  So do I, don't sweat it.  We haven't quite gotten Coco's rule of taking off one accessory before leaving the house.  With that being said, scarves and belts are in so grab your favorite one.  For a scarf, I recommend something with yellow in it to coordinate with the skirt but not full on match it.  Now pick a bright color for your shoes, and a nice neutral for a bag.  I picked this tank to stay in trend with the fringe.  Its fun, flirty and very 20 something!  Don't forget your bright pink lipstick!

Now for the thirties!  You're probably the CEO of your household, having a hard enough time balancing everyone elses schedule, let alone picking out a well coordinated 10 piece ensemble. So with that, keep it simple.  Instead of picking out multiple accessories, choose one thing that is in.  Liberty of London is all the rage so I recommend this Liberty of London blouse.  Bring a cardigan for those early spring days.  To coordinate with your top, pick out a pop of color and match with a bag.

My last age group for today is practical, classic and comfortable.  I recommend a Swing in the Blossom for comfort!  I love the bright turquoise button down against the yellow.  This shirt is a no fuss-no iron top!  Pick an accessory that matches for a little flair.  I picked blue earrings.  To match your skirt, I like this bright yellow tote.  Lastly, every girl loves shoes!  I love these Liberty of London flats with the gold embellishment on the heel!  Perfect for the Blossom, and perfect for Spring!

SOW: Cantaloupe Cotton

To me, August marks the beginning of the end to summer.  As hot as this summer has been, the end of warm weather is always sad to me.  To hold on to summer for a little longer this week were going to spotlight one of my favorite summer skirts for the SOW!  The Cantaloupe Cotton is a light weight yellow based cotton with a great pattern on it.
You can wear white, navy, brown, black, teal, blue, pink, red, etc etc with this skirt.  It is extremely versatile!  The pattern is loud enough to carry its own, so you can keep it simple up top.  I dressed the skirt up in the outfit below.   I love to bring out the pink with this light weight jacket.  Blue is a really nice pop with this as well.
SOW: Kaliedoscope
You can wear this skirt from spring through fall.  She looks great with sandals like I have shown above for the summer or riding boots for the fall.
I would suggest this skirt in a swing.

SOW: Morning Dew

This weeks SOW has a whimsical feel to it.  Whimsical after all is defined as 'playfully quaint or fanciful'.  The Morning Dew is both quaint and fanciful.  This is a lightweight cotton with embroidered yellow threading with flecks of sheen to it.  It is casually feminine, and there is nothing I like more than being feminine.
Morning Dew
You can go in a few directions with the Morning Dew.  First you can dress it up for a summer wedding.  Here in the middle I have it with an off white peplum sleeveless top.  Match that with the yellow or off white Seychelle heels and your ready for a night out.  I love it with the teal scarf from Anthropolgie.  I call this a non-functional fashion scarf.   Its here to keep you stylish, not warm ;)

It will also look great with the Liberty top from J.crew on the left.  Roll up the teal sleeves and throw on brown sandals for a casual outfit.  Last but not least, it always comes down to the chambray tops with me.  Tired of chambray tops in all of my outfits?  Too bad!  They look great with Sevier Skirts and are so in right now!  Wear with your riding boots that I know you have and your good well into the fall.

SOW: Candy Striper

This weeks SOW was a shop favorite this season.  Every employee had a different vision of what kind of look to get out of the Candy Striper.  That is why this versatile skirt is so special!  This is a light to medium weight cotton.  It's heavier than a lot of our thinner cottons so it does excellent in all three styles.  I love it in a swing with the stripes going diagonally!  In an a-line and pencil the stripes are going vertically.
I really love navy with red and white.  I think it looks sophisticated.  Of course black looks amazing with this skirt as well.  The colors are slightly muted so its not a in-your-face bright red and white.  Its actually off white that your working with.  This is perfect for the 4th of July as well!

I say pair this with a fun silver bangle, colorful shoes and call it a day!
